REQUIREMENTS FOR CONTRACTORS AND VENDORS

There are specific requirements concerning contractors’ insurance, compliance with various codes, parking, moving materials within the building, and contractor work hours within Medical City. These requirements are for the protection of the physicians, patients and visitors of Medical City.

The insurance requirements of any contractor, subcontractor, or vendor performing work at Medical City include:

  • Commercial General Liability Insurance Of not less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) each occurrence and Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) in the aggregate, as applicable, combined single limit, including coverage for bodily injury and property damage. Property should include coverage for premises operations, independent contractors, products / completed operations, personal injury, and contractual liability.
  • Automobile Liability Insurance Must provide combined single limits of liability for bodily injury and property damage of others of not less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) each occurrence or the equivalent for each motor vehicle used to conduct business at Medical City.
  • Workers Compensation Insurance With statutory limits and Employers Liability Insurance applicable to and covering all persons engaged in the performance of any work anywhere on the property known as Medical City Dallas with limits of liability of not less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00). In the absence of Workers Compensation Insurance, you must provide proof that:
    • (a) You have legally non-subscribed to the Texas Workers Compensation Act
    • (b) you have an alternate benefit plan covering any injury to your employees.

Such insurance must name owner and manager as listed below and their respective partners, shareholders, officers, directors, lenders, subsidiaries and affiliates as additional insured with respect to the work performed on the premises of Medical City Dallas.

All insurance outlined above must be with an insurance company approved by the State of Texas with Best Ratings of at least A IX and include a 30-day notice of cancellation or non-renewal.

Prior to beginning any work, a current insurance certificate must be sent to the management office. The certificate may be faxed to x5597 or (972) 566-5597. The following must appear on the certificate as additional insured:
